Charges & Fees

In general NHS services are provided free of charge by the practice to patients.

Some services however fall outside of what the NHS provides and in these instances the practice charges patients a fee. This is generally for what is considered private medical work, such as completing forms for the prescription of medicines for travel such as malaria tablets, undertaking medical examinations including those for visa applications, DVLA, insurance or employment purposes, holiday cancellation forms and fitness to take part in sporting activities.

Please bring any paperwork to be completed into the surgery. We will then process this and you will be offered an appropriate appointment where necessary. Forms can take 2 – 3 weeks to complete and you will be contacted when the forms are ready to be collected.

Appointments

	On the day	Emergency appointments are for patients who have an urgent medical problem that cannot wait for a routine appointment.
	Within 48 hours	For patients who need to be seen soon but do not require an emergency appointment, we offer appointments within a 48 hour period.
	Routine	For patients who need an appointment for a non-urgent problem.
