NHS App

Did you know you can get 24 hour health advice, book appointments with your local GP practice and order repeat prescriptions via the NHS app?

The NHS app is free to download to your smart phone or tablet and is available from the App store or Google Play.

More information about the NHS app and how to register with and without photo ID is available in the videos below:

We Are Seeing Patients Face to Face

We would like to reassure all of our patients that all of our clinicians are consulting with our patients via telephone, video or by a face to face appointment, as the clinical need dictates. If the clinician feels they need to see you in person they generally arrange this on the same day.

Our remote consultations are not replacing the face to face appointment. However, many of our patients now prefer this method, for ease of accessing the service and receiving the appropriate medical advice and treatment.

We would like to assure all of our patients that face to face appointments are, and have been there for those that require them based on clinical need.

Thank you

Dr Darin Seiger

COVID Booster Clinics

We are running regular COVID Booster clinics at Moulton Community Centre for our registered patients on a Saturday morning.

Patients will be invited via text message where there will be a link for you to book your appointment, or a phone call and directly from Moulton Surgery.

The Practice will be adhering to the JCVI/Government guidelines for booking patients appointments.

We kindly ask our patients to NOT contact the Practice via telephone to enquire about an Booster appointment. The extreme high call volumes are impacting patients wishing to make urgent appointments.

If you have any questions or feedback relating to your Covid booster, then these can be directed through our “Online Feedback” portal on our website.

Blood Test Tubes Update

Following a global shortage, the supply of blood test tubes is beginning to return to normal. Clinical teams are working to clear the backlog and we request your continued patience during this time.

If your appointment needs to be rescheduled, we will contact you when an appointment is available.

Understandably those with an urgent clinical need will be prioritised first. We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused.

Thank you for your continued patience

Flu Vaccinations

Moulton Surgery will be inviting patients in for their flu vaccination. Those above the age of 50 and patients with underlying health conditions will be invited directly by the Surgery, when we have received confirmation of the vaccine delivery from the Pharmaceutical company.

Please take the time to read the information below along with the information available on www.nhs.uk/conditions/vaccinations/flu-influenza-vaccine/.

We will be undertaking specific clinics for children, certain age groups and for those at high risk. These clinics will be available on adhoc evening and weekday clinics either at the Practice or at the Moulton Community Centre.

Our next flu clinics are: Wednesday 10th November for our patients aged 18-64, at the Moulton Community Centre. Only those with an appointment can attend.

Housebound patients will be contacted by the Practice.

We apologise if the telephone lines are very busy, at times during the Surgery opening hours we do experience a high volume of calls from our patients relating to flu and covid vaccinations.

We request our patients on the day of their flu appointment:

  • Do not attend the Practice/Moulton community centre if they have COVID symptoms.
  • Arrive on your appointment time and not before as this could generate a queue.
  • Whilst government guidelines have relaxed concerning the wearing of masks, we do ask our patients to wear one to protect our staff and other patients.
  • Adhere to social distancing at all times.
  • Wear clothing that is appropriate to quickly remove enabling easy access to your arm.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our patients for their continued support at these difficult times.

Our clinical and non-clinical staff continue to work so hard to deliver outstanding care to our patients.

Flu Vaccine Delivery Delays

Practices across the UK have been informed today that flu vaccine deliveries from the supplier Seqirus are going to be delayed by at least one or two weeks due to “unforeseen freight challenges”. That means that UK General Practices will be without vaccines, possibly until the beginning of October. This is completely outside of their control.

Your GP practice will continue to work hard to change their existing plans and ensure that as soon as confirmed delivery dates are received patients will be contacted and appointments booked.

Urgent Information

There is a Global stock issue of blood bottles; therefore we have to reduce our appointments for blood tests in the interim.

Only urgent blood tests for essential monitoring will be booked.

If you feel you require an urgent blood test please speak to one of our receptionists and we will add you to the waiting list.  A clinician will review the clinical urgency and we will then inform you if you need to have a blood test.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
