Photo advice

Sending us photos

When you send a photo to us, its important to keep in mind the following:

  • Do not use the selfie function on your camera
  • Take pictures in good light
  • Take an image of the whole area, and then some closer so we can see detail
  • Please send photos that are in focus
  • Please do not send photos of private areas unless you can cover the area in the photo (for children under 2, this does not apply).

For Photos of skin issues

  • If it is unclear which area you are concerned about in your image, please circle the area
  • Where possible use a clear ruler to indicate the size of the affected area

In some cases we may be able to diagnose and prescibe from images alone, or you may be asked to speak with a clinician. If you have been sent an SMS with a diagnosis more information can be found here.
