The aims of the patient participation group
Virtual Patient Participation Group (VPPG)
We are very proud of our surgery and staff and although we try to do a good job, we are always looking at ways to improve.
We have set up a Virtual Patient Participation Group (VPPG) so that the patient group can represent your viewpoint, providing input and thoughts about developments within the practice to ensure we are offering the best possible service. We would like a wide range of our patients to take part so that the views are representative of the local population.
What is a Virtual Patient Participation Group (VPPG)
VPPG is a collection of patients at Moulton Surgery who have an interest in the services provided. The purpose of the virtual group is to hear from our patients and to share constructive conversations on topics of interest. Your views and suggestions will help to inform future service improvements for all patients.
Do you have something to say, and do you have ideas on how to improve the Surgery, but don’t have the time to attend meetings?
Well, VPPG could be the answer. We will email members from time to time to ask their views and we would like as many patients as possible to take part. All you need to do is leave us your email address, consent to us contacting you and we will be in contact once or twice a year to ask you for this feedback.
Common Questions and Answers
Q: Why are you asking people for their contact details?
A: We will ask the members of this representative group some questions from time to time, such as what you think about our opening times or the quality of the care or service you received. We would also like your opinion on new services we may be offering. We will contact you via email and keep our surveys succinct so it shouldn’t take too much of your time.
Q: Will any of the questions you ask me, be medical or personal?
A: No, only general questions about the practice.
Q: Will anyone else will be able to access my contact details?
A: The contact details will be kept safely and securely. Your details will only be used for this purpose and will not be shared with anyone else.
Q: How often will you contact me?
A: Maybe once or twice a year to ask you for feedback.
Q: What if I no longer wish to be on the contact list or leave the surgery?
A: You can leave the group at any time. Just let us know by e-mail or phone if you do not wish to receive further emails.
Q: Can I use the group to make a complaint?
A: VPPG members should not use the feedback as forum to resolve their own personal issues and/or complaints.
Please note – this platform won’t be able to be used to ask any specific medical information about patients, please contact the surgery accordingly.
